The Windle Valley Youth Project serves the young people (11-18) of the Surrey towns of Bagshot, Lightwater and Windlesham.

Our purpose is to support young people in reaching their full potential by understanding and serving their social, spiritual and recreational needs.

How we work

The project is run and staffed by a team of volunteers supporting our work both directly involved in youth work delivery and indirectly on the executive board and in other supporting roles.  We have also employed youth workers as the need and opportunity arise.

We encourage and support young people to take an active role in running and directing the project.

We work in consultation with other agencies and have some very successful partnerships eg Surrey County Council Youth Development Service.

The WVYP is a Christian project.  Alongside our service to all young people, we aim to encourage living by positive Christian values and to support those who want to grow spiritually.  We support all young people of all faiths or none.

The project is supported by the following churches:

Meet the team: Glen Wiseman

Glen is employed as a youth worker by the project on a part-time basis.  Please say "hello" if you see him about the three villages.

Meet the team: Samena Mehmood

Samena works part-time for the project supporting the Surrey Heath Youth Council.

Meet the team: volunteers

We have a great team of volunteers who help to run youth clubs, music nights, babysitting courses, run catering and much more.
