The group is in the process of planning and designing a community calendar. The aim of the calendar is to challenge the often wrong perceptions of young people today. When you see a group of young people standing on the street corner, what is your first thought? “Are they going to mug me?” “I'm scared and afraid to go out!” Instead how about a group of young people who want to hang out with their friends but have no where to go. The calendar is going to include many of the community groups in Bagshot as part of the pictures. The young people have written to local businesses and community groups to invite them to take part in the project. A number of groups have already contacted Hotspot willing to participate in the calendar. The calendar should be ready for December. |

The High Sheriff visited Hotspot to award some of the young people £1000 towards their Youth Arts Award. The young people who visit the cafe are working towards their Bronze Youth Art Award. The Award comprises of 4 parts and the young people are working on part A.
